Dear Western Illinois NAVHDA Chapter Members and Friends,

Another month has flown past and it is time to train again.  

1.  April Training Day:  Saturday, April 14, 2007, 09:00 AM, For the Birds, Illinois City.  Visit the web site:

2.  Planning ahead:  We will host a two day training session at the Henke residence on July 14 - 15, 2007.  
The training will cover the proper introduction and application of an E-collar in training.  We are taking
reservations now.  The cost is $75.00 for the weekend.  The class will be limited to 15 persons.  Lunch will be
available for purchase each day or you may bring your own.  If you are planning to attend, please send a
check made out to Western Illinois NAVHDA for $75.00 to

3.  Welcome New Members:  We would like to welcome to the chapter:  Terry Nyenhuis and Polly Howard,
3220 Tipton Road, Muscatine, IA  52761 563-262-0205.  Email:  myenhuis@machlink.com   Terry and Polly
have a Spinone.  We are looking forward to seeing them at training days.

4.  Congratulations - New Litter:  A little bird told me we have a new litter in the Chapter.  Congratulations to
Leonard and Patty Chase on their new litter of Drahthaars.  The puppies were just born this week.  We will
be looking forward to hearing more about them.

5.  International News:  The International advised us they have been able to negotiate a reduction in Chapter
insurance premiums.  It amounts to $11.00.  The chapter will be given an $11.00 credit on next years
premium.  Every little bit helps.

6.  Spring Test Cancelled:  Western Illinois Chapter cancelled their Spring Test.  Unfortunately, our test did
not get posted in the VHD magazine until after is was cancelled.  Those folks who had entered the test have
been contacted, their money refunded, and they have been given suggestions for other tests to enter.

That is all I can think of at the moment.  If you have information for the chapter newsletter, please send it to
me and I will include it next time.  Remember the chapter is only as good as each of us makes it.  It is your
chapter . . . we need your input, ideas, and suggestions.
