Dear Western Illinois NAVHDA Members and Friends,

It is almost time for our fall test and preparations are progressing nicely.  We not only have a full test, but
there are still several NA and UT dogs on the waiting list.  Many members have stepped up to help, but that
doesn't mean we don't still need you for extra hands and moral support for your Chapter!  Lunch will be
available on site both days for $6.00.

WAG BRAGS:
WHOOOHOOO!  Tom Deckert ran Cedarwoods Orphan Annie, PP, 2.70 Years, and passed the NAVHDA
Invitational test with a score of 193 out of a possible 200.  She is now proudly known at VC Cedarwoods
Orphan Annie.  Congratulations to Tom on a job well done.  More work goes into training for this test than
most of us have a clue about.  It is a tremendous compliment to Tom and his dog!

While we are on the topic of the Invitational, we owe a special THANKS to Greg Terry, Jim Crowder, and Tom
Deckert, chapter members who traveled to the Invitational to help put on the test.  A successful test requires
many workers and these fellows went above and beyond to help and represent our Chapter.

Jim Crowders's dog Sam ran UT at the Minnesota Chapter test on September 2nd and received a 204 - Prize
I.  I believe Sam will be training for the Invitational in 2008.  Well done, Jim and Sam.

Jim Crowder's son, Joe, ran his pup in NA at the St. Croix Chapter test on September 15th and came away
with at 112 - Prize I.  Congratulations to both.

Several puppies from the B & C vom Entenmoor litters have either run or are preparing to run VDD HZP or
NAVHDA NA tests.  We wish them all good luck or congratulations as the case may be.  I will try to have
additional information about them in the future.

Jeff Henke successfully ran Ayssa vom Entenmoor in a VDD BTR test on Sunday, October 14th.  Ayssa vom
Entenmoor also completed her VDD VGP (Utility Test) the first weekend in September with a resounding 308 -
Prize II.  This is a extremely detailed test conducted over two days.  Great job.

Birke vom Entenmoor ran her VDD HZP / Breed Show at the Armbruster at Kelly Farms near Stillwater, MN on
September 20-21, 2007.
Birke placed 9th overall with a test score of 187.  Scoring 9/10 in form and hair for overall Armbruster points
of 196.5.  This is another test conducted over two days and while it is considered an intermediate test, it still
requires a great deal of natural ability and trained skills.

My boy, Caccia Cane DiAngelo, (J.J.), added new initials behind his name by successfully completing the
requirement for his AKC Rally Novice title on September 16th, 2007 at the POTC training center in Pottstown,
IL.  He is now Caccia Cane DiAngelo, RN JH

Randy Meester tested Bailley in NA at the Southern Minnesota club on August 19th and received at Prize III -
96 points.  The weather left a lot to be desired, but Bailley did a good job any way.

future plans.  You may still visit her web site at:  http://www.machlink.net/~spinnewf

We want to encourage Chapter members/breeders to have your litters / plans posted on the Chapter web site.

I think that is all for now.  If you have any news, brags, suggestions, etc., please be sure to let me know.  We
have reached the end of the training season and hunting season is on us.  Good hunting, stay safe, and
protect your best friend throughout the season.  Keep in touch!  We will still put out news, or just say 'Hey'
during the hunting season and be thinking about what you want to see the Chapter do in 2008.  We will set a
date and location for the January meeting and let you know as soon as possible.
